The most common question on my NIMAS BMC blog was how to get an A in BMC , what should be the training & what knowledge is required. Taking all the questions into consideration and discussing with my fellow mountaineers I have finally managed to write this eBOOK which would be helpful for all the new mountaineers to get an A in basic mountaineering course. This BMC book includes training, introduction to mountaineering terms & techniques , more mountain knowledge & some of my “BRO tips ” to get a flying start on your mountaineering journey.

Getting an A in BMC is must to qualify for advanced course AMC. After putting all your efforts over 30 days and not getting an A grade just breaks your morale. So its my humble request to put all the efforts in training both physically & mentally. I have set up guidelines to help you to get a flying start for your glorious mountaineering career with this ready reckoner for an Alpha grade for an alpha mountaineer in you.

β€œYour Videos & Blogs motivated me to join NIMAS BMC. I have been following the training guidance from the book since last two months. I am in much better shape and excited for the course. Thanks a lot β€ – Deepak Rathod .

I had planned my entire course reading your blog & was happy that all the Alpha Mountaineer knowledge came in handy throughout the course. Only 13 from our 66 batch got β€˜Alpha’ and i am so happy I am one of them. Thank you Sir, hope we cross in the mountains some day” – Manas Sharma

Course is not easy but training hard would help a lot. Take all the efforts during training so you become your best possible version. When you start with the training make sure not over train on Day 1 . This is a marathon, not a sprint. The power of training and building muscles lies in consistency & discipline. Start training for half an hour but do it daily for 7 days before increasing it to 45 minutes rather than training 2 hrs on day 1 and then taking rest for 3 days. Be focused on your end goal.

You will not get an A just by downloading the ebook. You will need to put every possible effort in training & prepare yourself for the course. Sweat during training so as to not bleed during the war. Train consistently so that you can enjoy the course rather than being a burden on others. Happy training !
